E26 base

Where it fits

Range hoods eat bulbs. Heat and grease are hard on them, and a hood usually takes two. That is why this bulb comes as a pair as well as by the box. It screws into a standard socket, comes on at full brightness and dims with the rest of the kitchen. In recessed cans and track heads it gives a warm flood that shows food and wood in true color.

Check before you buy

  • The socket is an E26 medium screw base.
  • The fixture has 3 in of depth for the bulb.
  • The wattage is at or under the figure printed on the hood or can.

Pick another one if

Check the depth before you order. The bulb is 3 in tall, and a shallow hood may want a shorter lamp. It is also a halogen, so it runs hot. Do not go above the wattage printed inside the hood, and let the bulb cool before you unscrew it.

What buyers say about the PAR20 Halogen Flood Bulb, 120V E26

Great light bulbs for the money

What a bargain! We only use these lights above our shower and no matter how much I spend they only last a few months. I've installed one light just over two weeks ago and she's still going strong. Even if they don't last over 2 months it's still a great bargain compared to what you may buy at a hardware store.

Hard to find real 50w bulbs

Very nice white floodlights. They last about six months with heavy use. The light will change to a yellowish color when they are about to burn out. They are ideal for the smaller open ceiling can fixtures.

PAR20 Halogen Flood Bulb, 120V E26: questions

Which PAR20 fits my range hood?

Most hoods that take a PAR20 name the wattage near the socket, often 50W. Match that figure and the E26 base.

What is the difference between 2800K and 3000K?

Both are warm white. 3000K looks a shade whiter and crisper, while 2800K is closer to a classic incandescent.

Is 39W enough to replace a 50W?

The 39W is rated at 480 lumens and the 50W at 700. Use 39W where you want less heat and softer light.
